d’Italia sources its designer cotton fabric lengths directly from European material manufacturers where designer houses have had their prints (cotton and silks) run and – for whatever reason – have decided not to use the prints or particular colour-ways in their current season collections.

It is these lengths that are released for wholesale by the manufacturers which d’Italia grabs in their entirety and has been available in store for a limited time here until they are sold off wholesale around Australia and New Zealand to top local designer labels.

This is why d’Italia’s cotton fabrics are “exclusive”; they are only available in limited quantities, and only for only that limited time until they are sold off wholesale.

Most of D’Italia’s stock is from Italy and France, as we believe these sources are superior in their manufacture of the finest quality fabric. The designer stock is sourced directly from the most reputable Italian manufacturers who create for the top European designer fashion houses – such as Gucci, Armani, Versace, Balenciaga, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Jil Sander, Roberto Cavalli, Escada, Valentino and Chanel.

2.How long does it take to order in your fabrics?

D’Italia’s beautiful collection of laces are individually designed and made exactly to our design specifications. Every detail from the unique floral designs, to the Swarovski encrusted embellishments, to the silky tulle bases, are carefully thought out and hand-crafted with precision and incredible skill- this is why our fabrics can often take 3-6 months to order in for you. All of D’Italia’s fabrics and laces are custom dyed and beaded to achieve a seamless and consistent result for all of our brides. Because of our custom service, you are able to customise your chosen fabrics and laces, exactly to your specifications too!

3.I’m not sure what fabric is right for my gown, can you help me?

Yes, we can help you find the perfect fabric for your dream gown. Our in-store designers and consultants will work with you one-on-one during your obligation-free appointment to help narrow down your options and find the most gorgeous fabrics to bring your vision and creation to life. If you also need a bridal couturier to bring your design and concept into fruition, then your bridal designer will refer you to one of our highly skilled and talented bridal couturiers (dressmakers).
